The Historic District of Gruene is only minutes away from New Braunfels, and is on the National Register of Historic Places.  Gruene offers unique shopping, dining, and entertainment along the banks of the Guadalupe River.  Gruene Hall was built in 1878 and is the oldest continuous running dance hall in Texas and features live entertainment daily.
